19 Things

19 Things I have done in 19 years...

1. Homeschooled K-12 (maybe that was more my parents accomplishment than mine) and graduated from homeschool high school
2. Survived my freshman year of college (yeah!)
3. Competed as a gymnast on the best team in the world (with the best coaches in the universe), retired, and now helping to coach my team
4. Hosted a Read-A-Thon for Compassion International’s work in Haiti last year

5. Had pet mice (not kidding)
6. Gone on the biggest water slide I’d ever seen, screaming the whole while
7. Been to Dolly wood (if you haven’t, you’re missing out)
8. Discovered the beauty of silence in which I sit before the Lord and shut my big mouth
9. Taught many, many preschoolers gymnastics, the sport I love so much

10. Discovered the best Best Friend of all time
11. Ridden the toughest horse in the stable at a canter

12. Sang solos in church services and special events

13. Performed in a talent show interpreting a song with sign language
14. Written many short stories

15. Embraced God’s call to be a writer

16. Began this blog and started pursuing that dream

17. Had articles and devotionals published in Christian magazines, blogs, and newsletters 

18. Voted :)

19. Written a novel

19 Things I Would Like to Do in the Next 19 Years...


1. Dream big (because my God does – see Ephesians 3:20 and Jeremiah 29:11)

2. Graduate from college

3. Publish a book (…or three… or thirty…)

4. Travel to New York, Haiti, England, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Kenya, Ethiopia…

5. Go on a mission trip

6. Get married and have bunches of kids (and homeschool them)

7. Adopt

8. Tithe faithfully

9. Run a race


11. Blog ;)

12. Go on a boat, ship, or cruise

13. Read through the Bible again and again
14. Mentor

15. Be an encourager

16. Smile

17. Treasure my daily quiet times with God

18. Be a witness of God’s love
